The Medici Collections, which encompass the 15th to the 18th centuries, are showcased in nine rooms on the first level. All of Galileo's unique artifacts, including his only two surviving telescopes and the framed objective lens from the telescope he used to discover the Galilean moons of Jupiter, are on display in the permanent exhibition, along with thermometers used by members of the Accademia del Cimento, an extraordinary collection of terrestrial and celestial globes, and Santucci's Armillary Sphere, a massive armillary sphere created and constructed by Antonio Santucci.

Galileo Museum tickets take to the Lorraine dynasty that accumulates the instruments and experimental equipment housed in the nine rooms on the second level, which serve as a living memorial to Tuscany and Italy's outstanding contribution to the advancement of electricity, electromagnetism, and chemistry. Wax models of pregnant women from Santa Maria Nuova Hospital, Grand Duke Peter Leopold's chemical cabinet, and exquisite devices created in the workshop of the Museo di Fisica e Storia Naturale to demonstrate basic physical laws are among the exhibits.

Museo Galileo Tickets gives you a chance to visit the institute's library, a fixture since its inception,located on the third floor of Palazzo Castellani. The "Bibliocom Biblioteche in vetrina" award was given to the new architectural arrangement. About 150,000 books on the history of science and 5,000 antiquarian books of antiquarian are kept at the library.The library houses a number of archival collections from the 18th to the 20th centuries as well as a photo archive pertaining to the history of the museum's artifacts, old equipment, and locations of scientific significance. A Digital Library was established in 2004 with the purpose of preserving and disseminating digital collections of historical scientific relevance.
